Land FAQ's

Why does Harvest need a piece of land?

We believe the mission of the Church is to glorify God by making disciples. The property is simply a tool for discipleship that would allow us to lay down roots and see lost people get saved, saved people grow as disciples, and disciples multiplied. This property will provide ample space to accomplish the vision of Harvest to see these things happen in the most effective way possible.

Why not just continue to meet at Granite Bay High School?

Even if we stay at the high school for now, it won't be able to contain what God will continue to do moving forward. A perminant facility enables more impact for the glory of God than being in our current set-up and tear-down situation. Additionally, having our own facility compliments our vision and values and enables more people to worship Jesus

When can we expect to start building on the land/have a building completed?

Right now everything is an estimate and God will lead as He sees fit. That being said, we would ideally begin building by 2019 or 2020.

How many people will the new building fit?

The most likely situation is that we would phase the project and initially build a multipurpose building primarily for weekend worship services. Phase 1 could seat over 600 people.

Where will the money for this project come from?

First and foremost, it is important to understand that in an ultimate sense it comes from God because God provides all that we have, including our money. He gives us many good gifts to steward, one of which is money. So we are praying God moves in many people's hearts to joyfully, sacrificially, generously, consistently, and worshipfully give to this work.

Will there be volunteers from the church helping in any way or will the land assessment/build be done by a contracted company?

We currently have two teams comprised of people within Harvest who are professionals in land development, civil engineering, architecture, structural engineering, church construction, biology, surveying, financial advising, CPA's, and more. One team is a land analysis/development team. The other is a financing/fundraising team. Our goal is to continue to use the resources God has provided from within to see this project come to fruition.

How can I get involved?

Join us in prayer that God would lead and receive all the glory in this endeavor. We do not wish to run ahead of God, but we see his hand guiding in this process. Pray continually for our Elders, the leadership teams, the people at Harvest, and the dollars that need to be raised to see this happen. Secondly, consider financially giving to this effort. Ask God what sacrificial gift, beyond normal giving, would be appropriately sacrificial for you to make. Finally, if you have an area of expertise that you believe would be helpful to this endeavor, please let us know by filling out the form below.

Can I start giving toward this project now?

Yes! You can give online here. Select "Land Fund", then enter the information to finish giving online. You can also give any Sunday via cash or check. Please mark the giving as "Land" so that it is designated appropriately. We will also have opportunity for you to give via stock and other types of donations and will make the church aware when that opportunity is ready.

If you have a contribution to make but would like to speak with someone personally about it before giving, please contact Pastor Chris at
